Utah Ski Trip

Recently Mike and I went to Utah for a little ski trip where most of the family were able to gather as well. We had such a wonderful time! Please bear with lenghtly picture display as I tell the story of our trip ...

When we got there Friday afternoon, Mike and I waited patiently for 3 hrs in the airport as Dave's plane was a tad bit delayed - then they lost his luggage, this set the precidence for our entire visit - we were late to everything ... Debbie left late from CA and her arrival went from Friday night late to Saturday evening - ah, family gatherings.

Saturday night we met up at Brighton and did our 'warm up' skiing. It was nice to have Morgan join us ... she's a good little skier!

David did a lot of this ...

Don't I look so natural ... ha, ha, ha

On Sunday we thought we would take a quick trip up to Park City where Debbie was staying ... now when I say quick trip, we literally spent 5 minutes there (again, we were late). We had to back at Kathy's by 5:30 for dinner ... we made it an entire 1/2 mile until we hit this ...

Where we sat for 2 hours staring at the sign that said - Exit in 3/4 mile.

Apparently in Utah, when there is an accident ... NO ONE goes anywhere. They don't open a lane nor do they divert traffic. We have no idea how long this went on for because after another 45 minutes, we finally made it to the exit.

Libby's blog has a great commentary on this (Pair family).

Yes, we were late for dinner ... they were so patient with us!

Kathy made Dave the traditional family Ho-Ho cake to celebrate his birthday

The little boy who always melts my heart ...

I've never skied, mostly because I would end up with a broken leg!

Happy Cake Time!
