Over The Hill
It's official, I am now 40 Years Old!!!
How do I reflect on this change ... well, a few more wrinkles, a few more trips to the dyer, a few more pounds added, and added, and added ... and here I am. Now begins the perpetual visits to the doctor to determine the aging effects to my body ... the ever changes of my metabolism ... the increased hormonal imbalances ... and, wait, didn't I already go through this at 14?
To celebrate this significant milestone, my love and my best friend threw a surprise party for me! At first, it was a little overwhelming, then a little depressing as I realized I was the oldest person in the room. But then my dear friend Patrick showed up and was able to level the playing field. Thank goodness for older friends!
My brother and his family even came down from Boston!
Thank you Michael, the love of my life! Thank you Jana, my best friend! Thank you David, my favorite brother for the great pictures to relect on the years of my life!
Thank you all for celebrating this day with me!

New York City with the Girls
One of my friends found this old picture of one of our girl trips to NYC ... I think it was in 2003
(Mike did a few touch ups ... )
We drove up in a 1970's conversion van, took the group to see 42nd Street, ate at John's, Jana got change for a $100 bill, and did our best to get mugged on our walk to the Wharf in the middle of the night. We had a blast!

Gen Conf Weekend
We had an exciting General Conference weekend, Mike participated in his semi-annual golf tournament on Saturday and attended the men's session that night. That left me an entire day to myself. You would think "hmm, how can I pamper myself", I know, clean the house, finish projects (window molding, curtains, install brackets for handivac, paint toe molding), wash and fold 5 loads of laundry, grocery shop ... don't be jealous, yes, I am a partier!
On Sunday, we had several friends and their famlies over for a big breakfast and to watch conference on BYU TV via the laptop hooked up to the TV. Yes, motab in surround sound, we are so cool!
Let's be real, with 6 kids running around and women together in one room, we didn't really hear much. So yes, we had a good time.
